Gattinara is a stone's throw from my house, but before going there I met her through one of her 'export products”: the homonymous wine with a very tasty taste, with a garnet red color and a fine scent of violet. In fact, Gattinara is surrounded by rolling hills covered with vineyards, ideal for walks in spring, summer and autumn. The Gattinara is just one of the symbols of Gattinara city that is not big, but with a moon story behind it.

There is nothing left of the Roman past, but ancient architectures remain of the Middle Ages that resist the hostility of time. In fact, another symbol of Gattinara constitutes an ancient tower called the Torre delle Castelle, which from the top of the hill dominates the city offering a splendid view of the area. Numerous churches are part of the historical and cultural heritage, the Castle of San Lorenzo, the Monastery of Santa Chiara and the Villa Paolotti that after the restoration regained its former splendor and became the seat of the Regional Enoteca.

The wine shop is located in the center of the village, extended along the main street on which also overlooks a long porch that contributes to it a very picturesque air.
