Rimini, Ponte di Tiberio
Rimini is a city that easily straddles the past and the present. The city, believed to have been established as a Roman stronghold, offers much in terms of historic monuments. This is also a place that offers all the modern conveniences you could ask for in the 21st century.
The chief attraction of the town lies in its laidback lifestyle, where drinking a leisurely cup of coffee at the outdoor café while looking the at goings-on of the streets is an experience to cherish. Easily the most recognised landmark in the area is the Tiberius Bridge. Believed to have been built by the Romans, this monument is a link to the past. This is also a site of major events being held in town, so you can get to explore the bridge, and enjoy the events, if you schedule your visit suitably.
Another monument of similar vintage is the Porta Montanara, the southern gate to the city. The beautiful beachside is a destination that promises thrills and fun. If you like watersports, there is boating and swimming to do, and if you are fond of beach sports, you can rent equipment for basketball, beach volleyball, and if you are too tired for sports, you can simply lie down under the shade of a large umbrella and read a book. A cycling tour of the city is recommended, and the city has many convenient routes marked out for cyclists.
