Fiesole is an ancient town in the heart of Tuscany. Because of its height over the surrounding countryside, the visitor will have a commanding view of little villages nestling amid fields and olives groves, often with church spires at their centres. The town of Amalfi hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the Historical Regata, a traditional rowing competition.

The beautiful province of Emilia-Romagna in northeast Italy is the location of Ravenna and many more historic towns. The region encompasses the northern Apennines, giving visitors the opportunity to follow mountain trails by hiking and motoring. Rimini and other towns on the Adriatic Sea are also within reach.
