I was there on Easter Monday with the idea of doing something special with my father, like many, a supporter of Ferrari. Consulting the car manufacturer's website, I was struck by the definition that the editorial staff uses to describe a visit to the Ferrari museum:

“Completely renovated and expanded, the Ferrari Museum in Maranello anticipates what will be the museums of the future: not the dusty story of the past, but an extraordinary experience in the Ferrari world, where historical machines and history are the premise to understand and learn about today's models, the contents and technologies of Formula 1 and the orientation towards the future. This experience is composed, as well as cars, big screens and movies, interactive opportunities such as discovering how the Grand Prix wall works and the possibility to become a Formula 1 pilot on board semi-professional simulators.”

Enzo Ferrari was born in Modena, on the 18 February 1898; his mother, Adalgisa Bisbino, was original of Forlì, while his father Alfredo was from Carpi, near Modena. He is still one of the figureheads of the best quality of Modena, and for this reason, particularly beloved: passion for work, resourcefulness, courage and creativity in the choices as ingredients of his success. Modena, the birthplace of Enzo Ferrari, is a land of motors, here in the heart of the "motorvalley" the passion for mechanics has a long tradition and the myth of speed is an integral part of culture. Racing cars and luxury cars have entered into legend, becoming a "collector items" and bringing to the world the name of Modena. The Ferrari Gallery was opened in February 1990, the interpretation of the exhibition reflects the spirit of Enzo Ferrari's progress, improvement and new challenges, knowing that the better car is still to be built. The office of Enzo Ferrari is off great interest, here some important relics for the company's history are clearly visible. In addition to the Galleria Ferrari, within a few kilometres there are several sites dedicated to motor vehicles, factories, museums and private collections. The House of Enzo Ferrari is a typical Modenese house, with a farmyard and a courtyard where the focus is not only the engines but also on agriculture and gastronomy. This reminds us how the beautiful Modena as well as the home of motors is also home to many other passions; the Este ancient capital with its Cathedral, the Ducal Palace, the Synagogue, its museums, its centre ... without forgetting the symbol of the town, Tower Ghirlandina, which together constitute with the Duomo and Piazza Grande a UNESCO World Heritage site for its beauty. Modena is lively, full of passions and artistically rich, therefore it has a lot to offer to anyone who wants to discover it.

Explorary Adventure Park

When you hear “Zocca”, the mind inevitably flies to Vasco Rossi but you also think of Exploraria, the adventure park located in Lame locality, in a strategic position between the Valleys of the Reno and Panaro at 830 m above sea level on the Modena Apennines.

Eploraria offers a range of attractions, games, adventure trails that are intended for all those who want to spend a day outdoors, having fun and trying his hand in various ways.
Within more than ten hectares of chestnut grove, the themes of the Explorary Adventure Park develop: albering (which is a path that is carried out among the trees), paths mountain biking, archery, nature trails, hiking, climbing, snow-tubing, Boscomagico, relaxation area, kindergarten for children.

There is really everything and more to spend in the green of nature a wonderful day but not only.
At Exploraria it is possible to dine among the crowns of the trees, in an intimate atmosphere created by candlelight. There are few tables available arranged in two suspended platforms, one of which can be reached by a ladder and the other through an aerial pulley. At about seven meters high (a safety harness is adopted) is another dinner and, depending on your needs, you can choose the table for the couple or family.
Obviously, given the low availability, the reservation as well as being in advance is also mandatory and it can be done by following the methods specified by the direction of Exploraria within the their official site.

But the Exploraria Adventure Park is also a summer camp for children. From 8 to 12 years, there are four one-week shifts for hiking, albering, climbing, swimming pool, archery, mountain biking inside the park at a price more than interesting. For children aged 13 to 15, only one shift in July but located at the nearby Parco del Frignano.

In any case, the park team consists of professionals such as forest acrobatic technicians, environmental guides, federal climbing instructors, archery instructors and, In addition, the Olympic mountain bike champion, Claudio Vandelli.
