Historical references of the Castle of Magnano have been made from the twelfth century when it is cited in Liber Mancassola. Until the end of the eighteenth century the property remained of the Scotti, and after the marriage with a noble of the Scala, it took the name of Scotti-Scala. The fortress has a particular irregular trapezoidal structure.
