Near our bed and breakfast there are many interesting places to visit: Asolo, Castelfranco Veneto and Cittadella, ancient medieval villages; Abano Terme, the oldest thermal centre in Europe at the feet of the Euganean Hills; Padua with St Anthony’s Basilica and the Palladian villas; Venice, unique in the world; Verona, and the spectacular Alps of Belluno. The bed and breakfast is managed by a young couple, Ivano and his wife. It is an old completely restored rural home in Borgoricco, Padua, Italy. Borgoricco is the historical area named “Graticolato Romano”. The bed and breakfast has 6 double rooms with a living-room and a bathroom and a breakfast area. There is also a typical “Venetian tavern” managed by a gracious host.It is ideal for people who like tranquillity and comfort in a family-like environment. Villa San Liberale, situated along avenue of Cart, surrounded by a green park, is a typical example of a country house as a place of recreation. The origins date back to 1644 when the family Villabruna bought the property, which was sold in 1650 to the notary Gavazzi who had obtained license in 1649 to build a chapel to St. Liberal. The property was then acquired in 1688 by the notary Vellaio, who restored the chapel to its current appearance for the wedding of his daughter Francesca with the noble Giambattista Zugni in 1746. In 1814 the complex was sold to the Bianco family; Antonio Bianco married Teresita Fusinato, daughter of the poets Arnaldo and Erminia Fua, who managed to publish "Confessions of an Italian", a romance written by their young friend Ippolito Nievo, tragically died, and hosted in the villa the famous poet Carducci. Erminia was born in 1884, and married the Marquis Di Gaetano Palici Suni Planargia; hence the name "Erminia". In 2000, the house was sold to the current owners. Villa San Liberale has two double rooms and two suites for four people.
