Milazzo - Museums

Menfi - Wineries

Cantine Barbera

Marilena Barbera is a winegrower: she lives and works in Menfi, where she makes her wines with her mother and the amazing crew of Cantine Barbera. Cantine Barbera, Marilena’s vineyard, is a boutique winery located in Menfi, a few steps far from the Mediterranean Sea: organic farming, craft winemaking and low environmental impact are her choices for a small focused production of high quality wines that represent, with elegance and unique personality, the fresh and marine character of their original terroir. The vines live so close to the ocean that they can turn sea brine into vibrant tasty salinity: enjoying mild winters and warm dry summers, as well as amazing temperature ranges between night and day, they are able to give ripe, tasty and sweet berries that smell of sunshine and of the gentle Mediterranean wind. Indigenous varieties such as Inzolia, Perricone, Nerello Mascalese, Alicante, Nero d’Avola and Grillo as well as international grapes like Chardonnay, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon are grown according to traditional farming methods and organic principles, which are respectful of the natural environment and of the grapevine’s needs and have bee

Marzamemi - Wineries

Feudo Ramaddini - Magazzino del Vino

Feudo Ramaddini lies at the very heart of the vineyards between Noto, the home of renowned wines, such as Moscato and Nero d’Avola, and the countryside around Pachino, a land of centuries-old vineyards and knowledge acquired over the ages within the walls of ancient wine-presses, where whole generations of countrymen have learnt the rites and the secrets of the noble art of wine-making. The fertile somewhat calcareous soil, the mild climate and, above all, the unbeatable quality of the sunlight are of the utmost importance. The Feudo Ramaddini winery follows the great wine-making tradition in the south-east of Sicily. An example of architectural re-use, it is located in an old wine warehouse in contrada Lettiera, just outside Marzamemi.
