Vigevano is a city that allows you to fully understand the importance that it had (and has) for the history of its country. Also known as the capital of footwear, Vigevano can offer its visitors moments of pure emotion.
Some of the most beautiful places and really worth a visit are: the main square of the city, Piazza Ducale, considered by experts as one of the most beautiful squares of the Italian Renaissance, was built at the behest of Ludovico il Moro, between 1492 and 1494; the Castle, where, according to studies, the first inhabited area of the city developed.
Another important and necessary visit is the one to the Cathedral of San Ambrogio, or Duomo, built in 1445 in honor of St. Peter, inside there are present beautiful frescoes that represent the richness and artistic importance of this sacred place.
