Rotonda della Besana

It is a structure in late Baroque style, the work of the architects Arrigoni, Croce and Raffagno. Its construction dates back to the 17th century, initially it was a cemetery for the dead of the Ca' Granda. The original core of the complex is the church which has a plan in the shape of a cross. An octagonal dome crowned by the slender lantern rises at the intersection of the arms. Since 1958 the complex has been owned by the Municipality and is often used as an exhibition space for exhibitions, screenings and cultural events.

Certosa di Garegnano

This monument is a monastery and is located on the outskirts of Milan. It was founded in 1349, by the bishop and lord of the city and had the honor of hosting, for a short time, the famous writer Francesco Petrarca. The facade is decorated with modules mixed between the Renaissance and Baroque style, consisting of many statues, obelisks, friezes and flames. In addition, inside, the ceiling is decorated with an octagonal tiburio, while the church has a single nave with barrel vault and geometric stuccoes.
