Oratorio di Santa Croce

Oratory of Santa Croce was built in 1690 by Marco Aicardi, and is the home of the Brotherhood of SS. Trinity. It was built to free the Christian prisoners in possession of the Turks. On the ground floor there are false arches, which are reminiscent of those of the main colonnade. At the rear is the triangular bell tower, surrounded by a characteristic seventeenth-century tip. Inside it we find erratic sculptures, such as the Pila dell'Acqua Santa, and several illuministic frescoes.

Oratorio di San Leonardo

The Oratory of San Leonardo, also known as the Oratory of Santa Caterina, dates back to the seventeenth century. After a significant restoration especially outside, the church returned to being a historic center of Porto Maurizio and an element of great importance of the historical and archaeological heritage of Imperia. In the church you can admire the best paintings by Gregorio Ferrari of Porto Maurizio: the Death of San Giuseppe by Sebastiano Conca; the Sorrows and the purgant souls; the statue of San Domenico and a chapel inside which you can find a small museum with the artifact of the Saint.
