Located in Italy's Veneto region, famed for it's wines and cuisine, Eraclea Mare is a beautiful town and makes for a peaceful and pleasant holiday destination.
Eraclea sits on the coast of the Adriatic sea and as such enjoys wonderful, temperate weather, especially during the summer months. Visit in July or August and expect temperatures of 27°C, the weather reaches highs of 21°C in September and October, meaning you can beat the crowds and still enjoy a sunny holiday.
For a great day out, top up your tan at the popular Eraclea Beach on the Venetian coast - be sure to bring a parasol with you as there is not much natural shade. Why not bring along a blanket and some food too for an Italian picnic? A lush pine forest next to the beach provides a wonderful change of scenery, plus it's safe for children to roam around, making Eraclea a great family holiday destination. Whilst in Eraclea take advantage of the proximity to Venice, which is easy to get to for a day trip, or to visit local resorts such as Caorle or Jesolo. At must-see in Eraclea is the stunning Laguna del Mort or Lagoon of the Dead, a unique natural sea lagoon by the Piave river.
