I love the Euganean Hills. They are beautiful in all seasons, but I like them better when they are wrapped in a thick fog that contributes to the mysterious and particularly quiet aspect. According to one theory, the name of the country comes from arcuate hills, according to another it could derive from Arquata Montium which means 'cloister of the mountains', but its The village owes fame to Francesco Petrarca who spent the last years of his life there.
