Bibbona, Maremma
Thanks to the mild climate, the tranquility and the beauty of its sights
Marina Di Bibbona has become a famous sea resort for a relaxing but entertaining holiday set in the nature.
Also called
Marina del Forte, it derives this name from the Bibbona Fortress, built in 1785 as a check point against pirates. Today a part of it can be visited as an exhibition point for cultural expositions during the Summer period. The coast of Marina di Bibbona is truly spectacular, offering wide, sandy beaches, mediterranean bushes and dunes.
The town is set at the centre of two wonderful pinewoods, embracing the coast up to
Marina di Cecina, an important touristic and commercial centre and towards south up to Marina di Casagneto Carducci. The Pinewood is the ideal place where to spend fresh days in the wide vegetation, organize pic- nics or ride your bike or horse, or just walk in the wonderful perfume of the trees.
The long beaches are wet by an uncontaminated sea and are in part equipped and in part free to access an offer 6 points of daily assintance to swimmers. There is also a part of the free beach dedicated to pets. The resort recently won the
Blue Flag for its clean waters. It is therefore the ideal place for swimming and water sports lovers.
