Livigno in Valtellina is one of the largest and highest resort in the Alps, is based on three original villages spread out along 12 km, it has an unusual geographical position, distant from urban centres, and being stuck between the Northern Alps of Switzerland, and Southern Alps Italy .
The valley of Livigno is the meeting point between Europe's largest National Parks, the Stelvio Park and the Swiss National Park. A massive green lung, an immense natural reserve, a pristine environment rich in flora and fauna, populated with marmots, steinbocks, deer, chamois, royal eagles, bearded vulture and wood grouse, that breed in the meadows, the woods, the first spring flowers and the summer pastures rich in all varieties of alpine flowers and plants.
The resort offers 110 kms of gentle wide open ‘motorway’ slopes with no vegetation for all standards of Alpin Skiing. You will have the chance to enjoy yourself and visit the beautiful Lago del Gallo. Snowpark with half- pipe and jumps and a boardercross piste with a 600 mts. drop down to the valley. 40 kms. of well kept pistes for all levels and styles cross country. Every year the la Sgambeda, an international cross country marathon, opens the winter season for this discipline.
