Built in 1382 by Gian Galeazzo Visconti, the Visconti castle was built in Renaissance style and more than a medieval fortress, it looked like a summer residence. This monument is a monastery and is located on the outskirts of Milan. It was founded in 1349, by the bishop and lord of the city and had the honor of hosting, for a short time, the famous writer Francesco Petrarca.
