Liguria, Varazze
Varazze is an ancient medieval village in the Province of Savona nestling within an inlet on the Western Riviera.
The village itself is beautiful as well as historic including the church of St. Ambrogio dating back to the 16th century with its Romanesque-Gothic bell tower and the church of St. Domenico built in 1419. There are also the remains of the medieval walls.
Varazze has some beautiful beaches and has been awarded with the Blue Flag for their quality.
It is also a modern tourist port and has many high quality bars, shops and restaurants.
Nearby is the Regional Natural Park of Beigua, its woodland and mountains ideal for walking and enjoying nature.
