Lavagna is spread on the coast of the Ligurian Riviera di Levante in Tigullio, but also in the immediate hinterland. The coast-hinterland combination, with the suggestive itineraries that go from the sea to the green hills, is an important prerogative of the overall tourist offer of the entire area citizen.

An ancient coastal village, land of Counts Fieschi surrounded by beautiful hills covered with olive trees, Lavagna is a pleasant seaside resort in Liguria, rich in bays, ravines and beaches caressed by a mild climate.

In the historic center you can visit the recently restored Ancient Medieval Tower, it is now home to the “Slate Art Gallery” and the 'Alloiso Collection', the Church of Santo Stefano that preserves important paintings and the seventeenth-century Palazzo Franzone, now the seat of the town hall.

Finally, in the enchanting Park Tigullio there are recreational and sports facilities for adults and children certainly worth mentioning. On 14 August Lavagna came alive with dances and music recalling the Fieschi cake, the legend according to which Opizzo Fieschi on his wedding day gave a giant cake to the country.

The traditional cake is offered only to those who, with a ticket, find their soul mate, who owns the matching card.
