Formerly the site of the ancient village of marquisate Doria, shows the castle high on the rock, the magnificent light,the medieval quarter of "Terra" with angles of great charm. The church of San Giorgio, near the cemetery, still retains some of the stages Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque. The parish keeps the altarpiece of Saint Devote, the masterpiece of Ludovico Brea (1515), the bell tower is set to one of the towers of the castle walls.
The castle changed several times between the twelfth and seventeenth century and inhabited until its destruction by the Doria (1744), houses in parts restored cultural events.
Typical products of the town are the famous wine of
Rossese Dolceacqua Doc; the excellent extra virgin olive oil and the traditional sweets of the country are "the michettas".
Among the cultural activities, put in your agenda the
