Museo Storico Artistico

The Historical and Artistic Museum was established in 1980 in celebration of the fifteenth century of the birth of Saint Benedict. It is located inside the Abbey of Montecassino and welcomes materials from different historical eras, starting from the Iron Age until the twentieth century. An important role plays the archaeological section that includes finds from the excavations carried out inside and around the Abbey.
