The Castelliere of Savalons has a square shape and at every corner, in the direction of the four cardinal points, there was an access door. The settlement seems to date back to the Bronze Age and you can still see the remains of the moat. The archaeological site, located in the open countryside, is easily visited by everyone.

The Castle of Fagagna was built by Emperor Ottone II in 983 and was of great importance in the conflicts that involved the city during the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. The building is 233 m high from the town. During the tenth century it was destroyed and now there are only a few ruins left that demonstrate its existence.

The Castle of Villalta dates back to 1158. For centuries the Castle was owned by the Villalta family, from which it also took its name. Currently, it is in excellent condition and its interiors are decorated with seventeenth-century frescoes.

It is located in the province of Udine and is part of the medieval castles of the area. It was built in 1161 by the powerful noble family of the d'Arcano, from whom it takes its name. Inside there are precious frescoes from the eighteenth century by Andrea Urbani. In addition, a church is also part of the structure. Today the complex is open to tourists and can be visited.

The Castle of Flambruzzo in 1466 appeared to belong to the family of the Counts Codroipo, who lived there until the early twentieth century. Today the Castle is owned by the family of Mario Badoglio.

The first news of the castle has been since 1267, when Gebardo di Wrusperg obtained the fortification from Gregorio di Montelongo, patriarch of Aquileia. In 1296 the defenses were strengthened and, in 1336, it was sold to the Savorgnan. Later the defenses were strengthened again, to such an extent that it did not yield to the Hungarians attack, in the 15th. The fortification during the centuries belonged to many families, and for this reason it has been modified several times.

The Ossary Temple of Udine was built between 1925 and 1940, by the will of Monsignor Cossettini who after World War I decided to erect the current Temple with the help of the parishioners of San Nicolò. The project was initially carried out by the architect Provini Valle, and then in 1930, the architect Alessandro Limongelli was also added. Inside we can admire collections, over twenty-five thousand corpses, honored for their sacrifice during the terrible war.

The Porta Villalta stood in the fifth wall circle of the city of Udine. It was built in 1335 and initially entrusted to custodians. In the mid-fifteenth century, the defenses of the city were expanded and the tower was also built, eighteen meters high. The keepers watched the tower through the ancient door. Originally, the structure consisted of a stone bridge destroyed following a flood of the Torre River.
