Eight kilometers of coast, made of fine, golden sand, slowly descending in the warm and still waters of the Adriatic Sea, an ideal place for swimming, especially for children.

The town is characterized by three different areas, each with a different urbanistic organization: Lignano Sabbiadoro, Pineta and Riviera.
The first one has been developed in the 60s, when a big building project has been realized out of the blue and soon become a modern town, with skyscrapers all around and big accommodation structures, including services like restaurants, pubs, shops extending in a nice pedestrian zone, lively night and day, long 4 kilometers.

The Pineta zone is parted from Sabbiadoro by a pinewood, it is the first residential zone of Lignano and it is characterized by a concentric viability with the streets crossing each other under beautiful arches. It is full of gardens and buildings are quite small, with a few floors.
We should put in evidence the public park entitled to Ernest Hemingway, who used to spend his holidays in Lignano.

The Riviera zone is full of small streets with no ending, pedestrian zones, parks, hotels and touristic services. It is enriched by a big park dedicated to the UNICEF, the SPA and the Golf course, offering a relaxing and quiet time. The long golden and sandy beach is often loved by the youngest, the clean and safe sea, which won the European Blue Flag , the wild Pineta, sport structures , thematic parks and services of high quality, ensure a perfect holiday for everyone, in a beautiful, safe and comfortable environment.
