Things to do in Bianco Italy – what to see attractions and activities

The Castle was built around the 17th century, at the behest of the Barons of Ardore. The building was also used for defensive reasons, as well as all other functions. The interior was full of frescoes and a typical decor of the period. Unlike previous periods, some paintings and furnishings are missing today.

Shortly before arriving at the town of Staiti, along the Comunale da Brancaleone, you will find a tourist sign indicating the direction for Tridetti. The apses of the small Church can be seen among the expanses of olive trees already from the street. To the tourist, the building declared a National Monument and dated the 11th century, is presented from the rear side. The main facade is facing the mountain (called Count Roger) covered by propellers and oaks. Further downstream the gaze is lost among the rows of citrus fruits and the colored stain of the oleanders.

The Marasà Temple was built in 470 BC on the orders of Lero of Syracuse. It was the largest Doric Temple in Magna Grecia, consisting of 17 side columns and 6 frontal columns. Unfortunately, during the 19th century, the Temple was destroyed and today we can see only a few remains.
