The View of Saint Rhèmy
Saint Rhemy is a town of Valle d'Aosta, located at about 1,550 meters above sea level in the heart of the
Alps of the Aosta Valley. This town is a well-known tourist resort and enjoys a beautiful setting in a very attractivemountain environment . The residential complex is the last municipality of Valle del Gran San Bernardo, and it is a place that has a long folk tradition.
Thanks to our new passion for
Nordic skiing, we decided to explore new places that allowed us to practice this new passion to the best and that, over time advanced, however, allowed us to do a good old alpine ski! The ski resort of Saint Rhemy has a wonderful network of trails that meander along a total of over seventy miles. Available for lovers of skiing there are a dozen of viable slopes suitable to different levels of difficulty, then there are
fifty kilometers dedicated to the Nordic skiing discipline.
In Saint Rhemy we have found an ideal environment in which to enjoy total relaxation and concentration that this discipline requires. The rings background include wooded forests with snow becoming almost a mystical, and certainly suggestive experience. The ski season is guaranteed from December until spring due to the presence of a modern system of artificial snow, in line with the major Italian ski resorts.
There are also many off-trails routes of rare beauty. The sunny side is particularly nice, making the stay wonderful for non-skiers aswell. In fact, my companion, who does not want to learn to ski, however, found in Saint Rhemy great choice of various winter activities from skating to sledding, hiking in all its forms, and yet walks, "winter bicycle" and horse riding.
