Champoluc is the largest town in the Val d'Ayas, Aosta Valley, inserted in the heart of one of the largest ski resorts in Italy, the Monterosa Ski.
A very famous ski resort for generations, the sports activities that can be practiced in Champoluc differentiate into a variety that involves both winter and summer activities.
We decided to go to Champoluc for New Year's Eve holidays, for a week of skiing and family fun.

The ski resort of Champoluc is part of the Monterosa Ski and sees the concatenation of a number of ski slopes at diverse levels of difficulty allowing the advent of every type of skier, from beginners,like children, up to the expert skier. From here starts one of the most beautiful ski tours.
The ski slopes are varied and have a system of artificial snow to hold the ski season over the winter until spring. Many ski disciplines can be practiced in the broad area that offers skiing, Alpine skiing and snowboarding, with the half-pipe.

And for those who want to try something different in addition to skiing there are some beautiful hiking trails that allow a safe trip in the wild woods. We took a long walk with the snowshoes: very exciting! We also decided to climb to the top of the Crest, where there is a beautiful resort ski lifts from there you go further up the mountain Sarezza (2820 meters above sea level). From here you can enjoy a truly impressive sight, and it is a great place even for apres ski or dinner at high altitude.

Champoluc is a city full of life and irony that welcomes tourists during the whole year; we have chosen a very crowded period, but the city was well run and therefore we could use all the services without any problem . Worth noting is the wide range of hotels with excellent facilities, with particular attention to families and children.
