Walls, towers and gates Porta Sant'Antonio Abate The Gate of St. Anthony the Abbot is among the six doors depicted in the crown located in the initial part of the coat of arms of the city of Campobasso. This door, which is part of the ancient castle of the city, is still preserved, together with the door of Santa Cristina, San Paolo and the Cold Gate. That of Sant'Antonio together with its two towers date back to 1463.
Walls, towers and gates Porta Mancina The origins of the Porta Santa Cristina date back to the Middle Ages. Also known as “Left-Handed”, being next to the church, which gave access to the fields without obstacles. It was part of the battlefield of the wars carried out in the area. Today, however, it is in a good state of preservation.
