Parks and nature reserves Orto Botanico Milano Brera The Botanical Garden is located inside Palazzo Brera. It was created in 1774 at the behest of the Empress Maria Theresa of Austria. Today it is managed by the University of Milan. We can admire more than 300 different species of plants and a particular 18th-century tank where irises and water lilies grow.
Parks and nature reserves Parco di Villa Finzi Villa Finzi was built in the nineteenth century by the Hungarian Count Batthyàny. In the 20th century, it passed ownership to Fanny Finzi Ottolenghi, who transformed it into a home for disabled children. He maintained this function for many years, collaborating with the Gaetano Pini Orthopaedic Institute. Today, under the ownership of the Municipality, it has become a public park.
