Parks and nature reserves Orto Botanico Napoli The Botanical Garden of Naples was created in 1807 by decree of Giuseppe Bonaparte, in the period where the city was under French rule. The project was entrusted to the architects de Fazio and Paoletti. De Fazio created the monumental façade, the main avenue perpendicular and orthogonal. Paoletti instead took care of designing and realizing the lower part of the Garden.
