Acquedotto Medioevale

The Medieval Aqueduct of the city of Salerno was built in the 9th century to bring water to the Monastery of San Benedetto. It is distributed on two branches that join in what is now called Via Arce, which takes its name from its arches. The aqueduct is also called the 'Door of Devils', as it is said to have been built in one night with the help of the devil. Today it is still in good condition and can be admired by tourists.
