Piazza Fontanesi
Piazza Fontanesi was born in 1783, on what was previously a block where the convent and the parish church of Santa Maria Maddalena stood. It was rearranged towards the end of the nineteenth century, planting linden trees, but the flooring remained that was highlighted by the path of the Secchia channel that crossed the city. It is currently home to the city market, where vegetables and fruits prevail.
