Castello di Cassacco

The Castle of Cassacco was built in the thirteenth century. It is a classic fortification consisting of two towers and surrounded by a city wall. Over the centuries the building was restored several times and in the sixteenth century a small church dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta was erected. In 1976, part of the building was destroyed due to the earthquake, later it was restored and restored to its former glory.
