Castello di Aviano
The Castle of Aviano dates back to the 10th century and belongs to the Middle Ages. It is located in the municipality of Aviano, in the province of Pordenone. The castle bears the name of the town of Aviano. In 967 it was donated by the Emperor Ottone of Saxony to the patriarch of Aquileia. The castle also includes in its territory the Church of Santa Maria and Giuliana, built in 1589. It is currently open to the public.
