Museo Civico "Gonzaga"

The “Gonzaga” Civic Museum was founded in 1940 within the Fortress of Novellara at the behest of the then podestà, Giuseppe Lombardini. Between the Seventies and Eighties, the Romanesque-Byzantine frescoes of the Episcopal Curia and the frescoes by Lelio Orsi, belonged to the cycle of paintings of a Gonzagesh residence, were deposited inside it.
