The Science Museum is located at Palazzo Amalteo, a sixteenth-century building. In the different sections, you can admire the rich prehistoric collections, the zoological collections in the bird room, the model of mammoth and woolly rhino. The insect sections, about 9000 examples, is also the most complete collection of minerals of Alpe Adria.

The museum is located at the “Diocesan Centre for Pastoral Activities” which was built in 1988 by the architect Otmar Barth. The museum was opened to the public in 1995 and contains collections from the diocesan territory. In the museum there are about 700 works of art, namely paintings, sculptures, devotional objects and much more. These works are organized into sections according to a chronological itinerary.

The Archaeological Area of Pordenone is located at the exit of the city. It is, in fact, a group of Roman walls, discovered in the 1950s. Castello di Torre trasformato

The Castle of Torre dates back to the twelfth century. It was the residence of the Lords of Ragogna. The building was rebuilt and, in part, transformed by Austrian captain Mordax. Later on there were a series of improvements on the initiative of the Accounts of the 16th century. Today it is home to the Archaeological Museum of Western Friuli, according to the will of the Count of Ragogna on his will.
