The war memorial is a bronze statue dedicated to the unknown soldier, supported by a rectangular stone base, overlooking Piazza Umberto I. Below it is an ornamental fountain. It was inaugurated on 13 June 1927 and went to replace the old circular stone fountain that was in the past at the center of the square.
