Starting from the assumption that the Terminio in the province of Avellino is nice, however, I must say that more than a day of relaxation it is & egrave; treatise of a tour de force! Indeed, the road is a whole series of narrow hairpin bends in the middle of the woods and the mountains that seem to lead nowhere and that give the feeling of never getting to destination. If you do not demoralize and guide with caution though... sooner or later you do it!!! Anyway, once we arrived the park is really nice: we parked in front of the small bar that is located at the starting point of the various more or less long routes and to be done on foot or by car and, immediately, a bull crossed the road!!! Animals, in fact, are mostly left free to wander so it's easy for many to meet. And, as a demonstration of this, shortly after we met a small group of cows burning grass in the lawn or ripping leaves from the trees. You have to be patient because they don't move in the slightest until they have made them comfortable and, of course, we don't recommend getting too close!!! There is a riding school full of horses where you can go on very relaxing hikes. Packed snack along the pond that is equipped with tables and barbecues and then we had to head home again because it started to rain: in fact & ; egrave; an ideal destination more for the spring and summer months rather than for the cold ones.
In the heart of a large basin of the Campania Apennines dominated by the mountainous massifs of the Picentino and Partenio and surrounded to the northeast by the Montevergine, is Avellino> city crossed by the waterways of the Rigatore, San Francesco and the Fenestrelle. In the surroundings of the city I observe lush vegetation, with cultivations of the famous 'avellane hazelnuts'. I visit the historic center, the core of Avellino originally at the time of the Lombards, which contains numerous finds and works of historical-cultural interest including the Cathedral, Built from 1132 and named after the Assunta; Impressive is the large neoclassical façade that has origins dating back to the twelfth century.. At the level of the Crypt of the Duomo, the remains of the oldest church in Avellino remain, the Church of S. Maria Madre, which was shot down to allow the #39; construction of the Duomo. Walking through the city known one of the symbols of Avellino: the clock tower that stands on the houses of the historic center with its 40 meters of height, and has always marked the day of the citizens of Avellina with its chimes and its suggestiveness.
