The Doria Tower, also known as the Pentagonal Tower, was built in 1602 with the aim of protecting the area. Despite having lived several years of history, the construction is in excellent condition and has a linear and simple structure.

Palazzo Doria is located in the center of Loano. The building dates back to the second half of the sixteenth century and was commissioned by the Count Doria. The project was awarded to Galeazzo Alessi, an important local architect. Palazzo Doria was built to serve as a fortress, as evidenced by the tower with a pentagonal base and the walls that surround it. The open loggias give access to the gardens.
