Aspio Thermal Baths

The Terme dell'Aspio are located on the Conero Riviera, in the province of Ancona. The Aspio River, the valleys, the woods and the hills are the scenery of the spa, a place of serenity and peace, as well as care and therapies. The ancient Romans already knew the benefits of the thermal baths and Pliny cited the Terme dell'Aspio for the countless benefits they brought to various disorders. Healing properties praised also in 1928 by Professor Viola of the Medical Clinic of Bologna, who wrote that the waters of the Aspio are the best mix of active ingredients that nature has created.

Quiet place, on the heights where the Aspio stream flows, at about 300 meters above sea level on the Conero Riviera, the Aspio thermal baths are a center where you can restore the body and the mind. A hamlet of the municipality of Camerano, the Terme dell'Aspio are located in a park among woods and reeds. The structure has recently been restructured and has associated with the benefits of spa treatments a polyclinic where medical treatments of homeopathy, physiotherapy are performed, acupuncture, anti-aging and diagnostics. Combining the benefits of spas with the offer of additional services, such as those offered by natural medicine and diagnostics, has proved to be a winning choice to make this place a privileged place to take care of your health in the most complete way. The waters that flow in the Terme dell'Aspio are a treasure that Nature has given to the lands of the Marche region.

These are bromoiodic salso mineral waters, which flow from four different sources and the mineral salts they contain give them the peculiarities and virtues amp; ugrave; which many experience on a daily basis. The waters of the Aspio thermal baths are beneficial for the respiratory tract. Nasal, ionized and sonic aerosol treatments, micronized nasal shower, direct jet inhalation, nasal irrigation and ear wash are provided. In practice, the throat, ear, nose, trachea, bronchi and lungs benefit from it. The therapies are indicated to treat sinusitis, bronchitis, pharyngitis, otitis and rhinitis. At the Terme dell'Aspio you can follow the hydropinic treatment, which consists of drinking warm water on a fast, in the morning, for a period ranging from a few days to a month, so as to assimilate the active elements contained in the water itself, obtaining therapeutic effects.

Hydropinic treatment, or hydropinotherapy, is helpful for diseases of the stomach, intestines, liver and biliary tract, as well as alterations in replacement ( uric acid, gout, diabetes). The Terme dell'Aspio, like the other thermal baths of the Marche region, are also proposed as a place for well-being and relaxation.

The particularly interesting area offers ways to spend periods of vacation that combine the usefulness of spa treatments, with the pleasantly relaxing ones of a holiday among hills rich in history. Camerano and the province of Ancona are rich in natural beauty, such as caves, coves and woods, but also traces of the past, in ancient villages or among towers and farmhouses. In my opinion, the sea and the most beautiful beaches in Italy are located in Sicily and Sardinia. The only problem is that both islands are not really close. However, there is a solution called the Riviera del Conero.

The Conero promontory is one of the few stretches of the Adriatic where you can admire rocky cliffs that descend overlooking the sea. The clear sea has that incredible greenish blue color and surrounds the beaches of fine and golden renella. In this environment is Numana, one of the most beautiful resorts on the coast.

Until a few years ago Numana was a fishing town. Today it has transformed into a holiday place while maintaining, fortunately, the balance between the ancient and modern.

The town is divided into two parts: Numana Alta and Numana Bassa. The upper part extends on the slope of a hill and preserves the historic center of the town: white houses, the narrow alleys of the “Tower” area, the episcopal palace, today the seat of the Town Hall and the modern church that holds the crucifix.

A few steps after the church are the gardens of Numana: a green area where the paths hide beautiful views. From here you can see the port and the promontory of the Conero.

In Numana Alta there is also the Costarella, one of the two symbols of the town. It is the ancient alley, consisting of a staircase from which the fishermen descended towards the sea. Numana Bassa is the most modern part with the marina. Here are various bathing establishments, equipped beaches dotted with umbrellas and sun loungers.

From the port of Numana, ferries leave for the symbolic beach of the Riviera del Conero: the beach of the Two Sisters. Large amphitheatre beach under the white and gray cliff, it is covered at times by broom bushes and by the green slits. The Sassi Neri beach in Sirolo, in the heart of the Marche Conero, is a pearl nestled between the blue of the Adriatic and an hinterland of rolling hills. The nature of the beaches is unspoiled and wild and in particular the beach of the Sassi Neri has a particular shape, with its pebbles little and the dark renella to act as the limit to a deep blue sea. Going down the hills of the Conero, the splendid Riviera opens to sight. Starting from Ancona, to Porto Recanati, passing through Numana with its pristine beaches. Sirolo, to whose municipality belongs to the Sassi Neri beach, is elegant and mysterious in its structure of alleys and in its peak position. Just outside its center you come across beaches rich in bays such as the beach of the Two Sisters, so called for the two great twin rocks that rise from the sea, San Michele with the spectacular falls of rocks, up to the Spiaggia della Vela, so called for the sail rock that faces its final part. The Conero can be easily reached by car. The reference motorway is the A14 Bologna- Ancona-Taranto exit Ancona Sud towards Riviera del Conero. The Riviera is served by the Milan-Lecce railway line and, to reach places that are not equipped with railway stations such as Portonovo, Sirolo, Numana and Marcelli, you need to get off at Ancona or Porto Recanati station. From here there are frequent bus connections or continuous taxi services. The Conero area as a whole is served by many buses that allow journeys, especially daytime in the territory, at low cost and with continuous and comfortable hours at the traveler.
