Castles, palaces and mansions Castello Svevo The Swabian Castle is the symbol of the Calabrian city of Cosenza and is located on the Pancrazio hill. In 1433, it was adapted as a princely residence, to host Louis III of Anjou with his family. The upper floor has a wonderful overview of the Crati Valley, the Sila Mountains, with the various farmhouses, and the pre-Apennines chain.
Natural Areas Parco Nazionale del Pollino The Pollino National Park is the largest natural park in Italy. Shared by the provinces of Potenza, Matera and Cosenza, with its 192 565 hectares, of which 88 650 are on the Basilicata side and 103 915 in that of Calabria. The park takes its name from the Pollino Massif.
Churches and places of worship Il Duomo di Cosenza The Cathedral of Cosenza, in Calabria, is a beautiful building built between the twelfth and thirteenth century, an interesting Gothic-cestercensi style.In the interior there are beautiful frescoes to be seen.
Museums Museo delle "Rimembranze" The Museum of Remembrances in Cosenza is located in the Palazzo Spada, located in Piazza Parrasio. The museum was established mainly to present to the public a collection of intangible assets of tradition and folklore. It was managed by the “Bernardino Telesio” Cultural Association. Today it is one of the most renewed museums in the city of Cosenza and much visited.
