Valeggio sul Mincio is 25 km from Verona and is crossed by the Mincio River. Along the banks of Mincio, in the wonderful town is the Scaligero Castle, one of the best known fortifications in the whole of Veneto . Feast of the “Love Node”, is held on the third Tuesday of June, with a table Guinness Book of Records on the “Visconti Bridge” (650 meters long) where the tasty Tortellini of Valeggio are served to more than 4,000 diners. “Antique Market”, takes place since 1994 every fourth Sunday of the month in Piazza Carlo Alberto. “Summer Film Festival”, is held by the Pro Loco association every Wednesday evening from late June to late August in the Scaligero Castle, with screening of a selection of films of the film season. “Antica Fiera di Valeggio”, is held on the first weekend of July, organized by the Pro Loco association. It is dedicated to San Pietro and hosts smooth orchestras, the palio of the districts (Monday evening), the exhibition of crafts and agriculture and food stands.
