Three skiers on the chairlift in Pinzolo in Alta Val Rendena
Pinzolo is a Central European town, in the Province of Trento, in Trentino Alto Adige, located in 800 meters above sea level in Valrendena. It is a place of incredible tranquility and calm, and not by chance, it was the location chosen by the Turin Juventus Team as a pre-season retreat for several years. It is only 13 km from the worldly alpine tourist destination Madonna di Campiglio, about 20 minutes drive through the SS239. It has a 9-hole golf course and numerous sports facilities.
In winter Pinzolo turns into a white lady, the show of the Dolomiti di Brenta Group shows off all its elegance and gives strong emotions. From the town there is a climbing gondola that leads to an altitude of 2000 m above sea level, where you access the medium-sized ski area.
The facilities are 13:7 chairlifts, 5 gondola cars, 1 treadmill. The slopes (32 km) unravel from a minimum height of 1504 m above sea level up to 2100 masl, are 50% for beginner skiers, 34% for average skiers and 16% for experienced skiers. the Pinzolo area is connected, skiing on the feet, with Madonna di Campiglio and Folgarida Marilleva, they constitute the Val di Sole ski area which boasts 63 lifts and 150 km of slopes.
During the month of February, when Carnival is celebrated all over the world, the city of Pinzolo returns back in time to the time of Franz's Empire Joseph and Sissi, and celebrates it through a historical interpretation of Austro-Hungarian rule. The great party takes place outdoors, restoring traditional Austrian austerity with parades of beautiful imperial carriages. It's an unmissable show, with classic Viennese music and waltz tours.
