Dimaro, at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites, lies partly along the road leading to Madonna di Campiglio and partly along the main road to Passo Tonale. It is an attractive village, with the two villages Carciato and Folgarida, including almost 1300 people. It was the configuration of the surrounding area and its excellent positioning in '65 that promoted the development of high altitude ski resort of Folgarida, fraction of Dimaro, turning the country into an attractive tourist center in both winter and summer. Connecting to the slopes of Folgarida and Madonna di Campiglio Marilleva have given life to one of the most renowned ski resorts in the Alps.
Dimaro Today, thanks to the brand new gondola Daolasa in operation since December 2007, is located a few minutes from the ski carousel Dolomiti Adamello Brenta Ski maps.
