Castello Tesino is located between Monte Picosta and Tesino, the green highland that widens from Trento to Feltre: this area was once a communication route from Altino to Tarvisio.

The country, equipped with numerous and modern tourist facilities, welcomes tourists both in summer and in winter. In the historic center you should visit the church of S. Hippolytus, a beautiful example of Romanesque architecture: the frescoes, whitewashed during the Counter Reformation, were brought to light in the early decades of the '900.

There are also many possibilities for trips and excursions thanks to the presence of aided trails and specialized guides. The routes branch in the direction of Lagorai, where those who go trekking come across the unspoiled nature of these fascinating mountains: the woods of ash, chestnut and birch trees alternate with green pastures.

Another hiking destination is the Cima D'Asta where the line of the Italy-Austria front passed. Among the most interesting tourist attraction is the Castello Tesino Grotto excavated from the Senaiga stream. Along the 400 m. of galleries once went around the terrible bear of the quaternary caves: today there are only tourists who admire the embroidery of stalactites and stalagmites.
