Castello di Ficuzza

The Castle of Ficuzza was built by King Ferdinand of Bourbon at the end of the eighteenth century. The structure was built under the project of the architect Giuseppe Venanzio Marvuglia. One of the main purposes for which it was used was to dwell for the holiday periods for the Sicilian nobles. It is in typical neoclassical style and is particularly extensive and massive.
