Located on the south east coast of Sardinia, Muravera has risen at the foot of the hills overlooking the the sea, at an altitude ranging from 7 to 20 m. Today, the territory can boast of a wooded heritage of particular charm that contains unspoilt environments. where different species of wild animals live including wild boars, deer and golden eagles and where the flora at various times of the year reserves visitors a multitude of colors and scents.

Of particular interest is the forest of Baccu Arrodas, a thick forest of Mediterranean scrub, equipped for refreshment in the long spring walks where you can visit the homonymous mine in which antimony and silver were extracted.

The coasts, in addition to the enchanting and uncrowded beaches, offer tourists a crystal clear sea that contains in itself an underwater world rich in history and seabed wonderful. Natural heritage of great prestige are the Ponds, wetlands of considerable naturalistic and wildlife interest especially for the presence of numerous species of birdlife.

The territory of Muravera, in addition to the natural beauties often recognized almost exclusively in the sea, hides within it various folk manifestations that have unique stories to tell.

So there is The Citrus Festival that actually marks the beginning of the tourist season in the territory, where the real protagonist of the party is the citrus fruit that can be not only purchased but also enjoyed in various local recipes.

Every evening Muravera animates its summer with different events ranging from cultural initiatives, to theatrical and traveling shows, to Craft and Product Exhibitions local with free tasting, at the Music Shows.
