In northern Italy, in Piedmont in the province of Cuneo there is a city famous all over the world for its truffle white and great destination for lovers of food and wine.

Walking through the ancient city surrounded by old Roman walls, I admire the tower stretching high in the sky and the ancient palaces that fill the city with a mysterious and rich air, typical of the Middle Ages of which I can still feel its atmosphere today. To increase the charm of the city, is the enchanting territory that surrounds it with green vineyards that stretch to the horizon and the famous hills of the Langhe, place of ancient charm.

Coming to the small town of Alba, immersed in this fascinating territory, I truly understand how much this town is admired and desired destination for travelers from all over the world. The treasures of this place are its products such as the excellent white truffle and hazelnuts but also the exceptional Barolo and Barbaresco make this territory famous.

Savoring its typical products and sipping a good glass of red wine, I enjoy a short relaxing and rejuvenating holiday in this little corner of paradise, ideal place to those who want to immerse themselves in the typical Italian 'countryside' still made of long traditions and genuine flavors.

Who has never finished a jar of Nutella with their fingers or received a Ferrero Rochet box as a gift?! In Alba there is the headquarters of Ferrero an immense factory, which unfortunately you cannot visit. Not only is this town in the Piedmont countryside made of chocolate, there are beautiful places to visit.

I recommend a walk around the historic center of Alba... don't forget to visit the medieval towers (erected between the 14th century) and the XV) overlook Piazza Risorgimento. The Cathedral of San Lorenzo, erected at the beginning of the twelfth century, is definitely worth a visit.

Do not miss the White Truffle Fair and the Donkey Palio that take place every year in October; from May to June there is the annual Puppet Festival, with puppets scattered around the city. You can't miss it!
