Valmalenco, one of the most important lateral valleys of the Valtellina

Situated at the back of Sondrio, the Val Malenco is one of the most important lateral valleys of the Valtellina, known for its amplitude catchment basin, for the importance of its mounts. Valmalenco is optimally practical for skiing, and is one of the most interesting alpine areas, it offers a great variety of goals and routes of 50 kms . It is possible to ski in an uncontaminated and panoramic atmosphere, with enthusiastic slides for skiers looking for emotions. On the opposite side of the valley, Caspoggio has a disposition of six systems between quota 1100 and 2200: and gives red and blue tracks mostly with the appreciated exception of the black Vanoni.Church in Valmalenco is probably the only skiing station in the world ,where the reduction in the nights of full moon is a consolidated tradition.In occasion of the full moon in fact, some ski tracks of the Alpe Palù, that go back to Saint Giuseppe between forests and mountain pastures are open from the 8.oo p.m to 12.oo pm.
