Valle Camonica is famous above all its rock carvings, but on its territory there are also villages of great charm and millennial history. Here, between the peaks of Pizzo Badile, Concarena, Presolana and Cerreto there is a small medieval village, Bienno.


The history of the village is millennial, but it has always been linked to the processing and trade of iron artifacts. Today, metal is no longer extracted in the nearby valleys, but the country keeps its traditions alive thanks to some forges and the “Market Show”, held in August, during which you can see live the techniques of working iron, but also of wood, ceramics and glass. In this period, narrow medieval alleys, courtyards and loggias, squares and old cellars come alive creating the atmosphere of other times.

Especially late in the evening when the torches are lit that immerse in the Middle Ages and lead to losing track of time.
