Just at the top of the two branches of Lake Como there is Bellagio, a town famous for its beautiful villas, the picturesque foreshortening of the Lake, its panoramas and its mysterious alleys which create a romantic atmosphere.
The resort is reasy to each by motor boat, with a fast and sightseeing journey. The most renowned villas are Villa Serbelloni and Villa Melzi. The first one is set in a panoramic location on the lake and is surrounded by a park full of centuries old trees and exotic plants ; insde the park one can notice the ruins of medieval walls and of a romanic church.
Villa Melzi built in the nineteenth century, ois surrounded by wide gardens full of exotic trees where azaleas and rhododendrons alternate to majestic statues. In the structure there is also an annex Chapel and a small museum.
Do not miss a walk on the top of Mount Boletto, to enjoy a beautiful and breathtaking view on Lake Como, on the mountains chain, on the valley of Brianza and on Mount Resegone and Cornizzolo. In alternative, on the slope of Mount San Primo, or at the vertex of the triangle making the watershed in between the two branches of Lake Como.
