Ricadi is a municipality, bathed by the Gulf of Sant'Eufemia, located in the Province of Vibo Valentia in Calabria. Its economy is based on agriculture, fishing and tourism that has been developing in recent years and its delicious cuisine is very connected to spiritual and religious life, with dishes special to commemorate important dates such as Christmas, Easter, etc...

The history of the country is long, and relatively important for local development, and as attest to numerous archaeological finds found here (many exhibited in National Museum of Reggio Calabria), it was already inhabited since prehistoric times. Over time, the citadel of Ricadi suffered a great influence of cultures: Greek, Carthaginian, Romanesque, Byzantine, Arab, Saracen and Norman, who are present in the dialect and customs local.

It is a place to be discovered and that, surely, will please any kind of tourist.
We recommend a visit to the Museum of City Art, where you can learn about local art. Every year, the city hosts the Literary Prize in Memory of Giuseppe Berto (Venetian author), which rewards talented young writers. Come numerous!!!
