The Museum of Sacred Art San Giuseppe is located inside the rooms of the former church of Santa Maria Maggiore. The objects on display belong to the period from the 16th to the 18th century. Most of these were brought from the former Capuchin Convent. The collection includes paintings, sacred silverware but also works in wood.

It was built in 1563 by the local friars. On the main façade, the arched stone door is opened surmounted by an arched single window. The interior, with a single nave, houses the polyptych on canvas signed and dated Hippolitus Burghesius, 1612.

It was built in 1580 by Capuchin fathers, near the convent that was closed after the earthquake of 1783 and definitively abandoned by the religious in 1866. Recently refurbished.

The Museum of Remembrances in Cosenza is located in the Palazzo Spada, located in Piazza Parrasio. The museum was established mainly to present to the public a collection of intangible assets of tradition and folklore. It was managed by the “Bernardino Telesio” Cultural Association. Today it is one of the most renewed museums in the city of Cosenza and much visited.

The Swabian Castle is the symbol of the Calabrian city of Cosenza and is located on the Pancrazio hill. In 1433, it was adapted as a princely residence, to host Louis III of Anjou with his family. The upper floor has a wonderful overview of the Crati Valley, the Sila Mountains, with the various farmhouses, and the pre-Apennines chain.

The Cathedral of Cosenza, in Calabria, is a beautiful building built between the twelfth and thirteenth century, an interesting Gothic-cestercensi style.In the interior there are beautiful frescoes to be seen.

The highest peak of the Sila. From almost 1900m above sea level you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire plateau. On particularly clear days you can also see Mount Etna and the Gulf of Taranto. From here you can access the ski slopes

It is an artificial reservoir on the banks of which is the hamlet Lorica, home of the Sila National Park.

The building is facing east, an expedient to ensure light to the apse both at the rise of the rising sun (Sol Salutis, symbol of salvation) and at sunset (Sol Iustitiae, symbol of universal justice). Following the numerous earthquakes that affected the area underwent various changes that altered its original internal structure. The last earthquake caused the upper walls to collapse. The church, of which only the façade remains and part of the interior, is in stone masonry with irregular view and gray tuff.

The Giant Pines are located inside the “State Park the Giants of Sila” and constitute a kind of larch pine trees that probably date back to the years 1620-1650. The giants are represented by 56 carefully classified and numbered larch pine plants as well as seven mountain maple trees.
